How to crochet towel / scrubber

Pin It Now!

In line with my christmas season crochet projects. I just made a face towel for my daughter and it may be a nice gift  this coming season too.

This is a photo tutorial.

I just used Catherine's wheel stitch in this towel.

Needed:
#1 Stainless Hook
# 8 , Cotton Thread, color of your choice
(in this tutorial, I used two colors)

Finished product size: 8 1/2 inches  x 8 1/2 inches

Row 1: Ch 56.

Row 2: Turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook, skip 2ch, *3dc, ch1, 3dc in next ch, skip 2ch, sc in next ch*, repeat *to* 9 times.

Row 3: Please follow the instructions on how to crochet Catherine's wheel stitch but having 8 crocheted wheel completed.  To complete the wheel stitch you have to complete 2 rows.

This is the completed crocheted Catherine's wheel stitch.

For the edging, put 3 rows of sc around, as shown below.

  1. Thank you for the pattern! I am going to adjust the beginning chain to make it with worsted weight cotton. Jean

  2. The correct stitch pattern name is a Catherine's Wheel, not a crochet wheel. Please get it right if you're going to try and teach others.
