Learning: A Never Ending Process

I met my mother’s friend when I was in high school and she loved to crochet too.

After 10 years, we saw each other again. When I saw her, she saw me crocheting so, she told me to visit her place to show me her projects. When I visited her, she had everything crocheted. From bags, curtains, purses, pouches and clothes.

That time I had no idea yet how to crochet bigger projects. I remember she taught me one stitch. This stitch I used to make a blanket for my nephew when he was still a baby.

Girlie's 5-point Star Christmas Ornament

Christmas is approaching and I know every crocheter is busy making gift projects for all their loved ones.

While thinking about what project I could make, I was looking at our window and I wondered, what if I crocheted a star as a Christmas tree ornament?

I know many of us are preparing a Christmas tree so I decided I wanted to make a 5-star Christmas tree Ornament.

Now I want to share my first  5-point Star Christmas tree Ornament. Enjoy Crocheting! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message.

How Do You Start Your Crochet Ball?

From Inside or Outside?

From time to time, we go to my mother’s flower shop. When we visit there we usually stay in her office for 5-6hrs. Visiting my mom is fun for my daughter since one of my nephews goes there to play with her. This is my favorite time too; while she’s playing I’m crocheting.

So I have always my thread and hook with me. When I go out, I usually bring a yarn of ball; its size is convenient to carry anywhere. I can make accessories in no time. It keeps me busy while my daughter is busy.

My mom loves to play facebook games, while waiting for customer. I remember she told me. “I want to learn how to crochet to keep me busy while waiting for the customer".

One time, while we we’re at my mother’s flower shop, while crocheting, my crochet ball rolled over on the floor and reached the door. My daughter ran for it and gave it back to me. I think she did that for 3 times till my mom asked

Do you have a pattern for this?

7 years ago I was always looking for a free crochet pattern over the internet. I can make a doily, clothes, anything about crochet for free. This is the reason why I built this blog, to help those crochet lover's like me who are constantly looking for a free crochet  pattern and to help them in their crochet journey.

Last week I found this doily in our closet. It is easy to crochet, I remember I had done this in one sitting. Problem is, I forget where I found this pattern. Can you help me?

Can you help me locate the owner of this doily?
Please leave the link in comment area. Thank you very much.

I didn't even know what to call this stitch so I have been searching for a tutorial website to see if they have this kind of stitch. But I could not find it and I didn't even know the name of the stitch.
