A Cover-up dress crochet












(I divided this dress into 2 parts, lower and upper dress.)

Needed:
#1 Stainless Steel Hook
215 Grams of Crochet Thread
(Size- Small)


Term:
Picot: ch 3, sl st in specified st: picot made.



2dc tog: (YO, insert hook in next 1ch sp, and draw up a lp; YO and draw through 1st 2 lps on hook) twice; YO and draw through all 3 lps on hook.




Lower dress:





Row 1: ch 264, join to form a circle, be careful not to twist.

Row 2: ch 4, *skip 1ch, dc in next ch, ch 1*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4.





Row 3: ch 1, sc in next 1 ch sp, *ch5, skip dc-1ch sp-dc, sc in next 1 ch sp*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ ch 2, dc in top of 1st sc. (66 sps)

Row 4: ch 1, sc in the same sp, 8dc in next 5ch sp, sc in next 5ch sp, *ch5, sc in next 5ch sp, 8dc in next 5ch sp, sc in next 5ch sp*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ ch2, dc in top of 1st  sc. (22 groups of 8dc).






Row 5: ch1, sc in same sp, (dc over dc, *picot, dc over dc*,  repeat *to* 7 times, sc in next 5ch sp),  repeat (to) around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc. (7 picot in each 8dc group)




Row 6: ch8, skip 2 picot, sc in next picot, ch5, skip 1 picot, ch 5, skip 2 picot, *dc in sc, ch5, skip 2picot, sc in next picot, ch5, skip 1picot, sc in next picot, ch5, skip 2 picot*,  repeat*to* around. End w/ sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch8. (66 sps).





Row 7: sl st in 1st ch of next sp, ch1, sc in the same sp, 8dc in next 5ch sp, sc in next 5ch sp, ch5, * sc in next 5ch sp, 8dc in next 5ch sp, sc in next 5ch sp, ch5*,  repeat *to* around. End w/ ch2, dc in top of 1st sc.




Row 8: repeat row 5.

Row 9: repeat row 6.





Row 10: repeat row 7 but having 9dc instead of 8dc in each sps.

Row 11: repeat row 5 but having 8 picot in each 9dc group.




Row 12: ch8, skip 2 picot, sc in next picot, ch6, skip 2 picot, ch5, sc in next picot, skip 2 picot, *dc in sc, ch5, skip 2picot, sc in next picot, ch6, skip 2picot, sc in next picot, ch5, skip 2picot*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch8.

Row 13-14: repeat 10 and 11, fasten off.



Upper dress:





Row 1: Attach thread in the beg of 264ch, sl st in next 1ch sp, ch4, * skip dc, dc in next 1ch sp, ch 1*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch if beg ch4.






Row 2: Drop thread, insert hook in last 1ch completed, ch4, *skip dc, dc in next 1ch sp, ch1*,  repeat *to* around, end w/sl st in 3rd ch of beg 4ch.

Row 3:   Sl st in 1ch sp, ch4, *skip dc, dc in next 1ch sp, ch1*,  repeat *to* around, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch4.





Row 4-39:  Repeat 2 and 3. Fasten off.










Row 40: Skip 11 sps, attach thread in next 1ch sp, ch3, *dc in next 1ch sp, ch1*,   repeat *to* 41 times, 2dc tog in next 1ch sp. 





Row 41.: ch2, *dc in next 1ch sp, ch1*,  repeat *to* 40 times, end w/ 2dc tog.












Row 42.: Repeat Row 41 but having 39 sps.
Row 43: Repeat Row 41 but having 38 sps.
Row 44.: Repeat Row 41 but having 37 sps.
Row 45.: Repeat Row 41 but having 36 sps.
Row 46.: Repeat Row 41 but having 35 sps. do not cut.






Row 47.: ch60, [2dc,ch3,sl st, ch3, 2dc, ch3, sl st, ch3, 2dc, ch3, sl st in the 4th ch from hook, *ch1, skip 1ch, sc in next ch*,   repeat *to* all through the string], sl st in top of 2dc tog,




**ch2, sc in dc post, ch2, sc in base of dc**,   repeat **to** 7 times



ch2, skip 1ch sp, sc in next 1ch sp, 



***ch2, sc in next 1ch sp,***,  repeat  ***to*** 26 times


ch80, repeat [to] once, sl st in top of sc,





repeat ***to*** 33 times


ch 80, repeat [ to ] once, sl st in top of sc, repeat ***to*** 26 times, skip 1ch sp, sc in next dc, repeat **to** 7 times, ch 60, repeat [to] once, sl st in top of sc, ch2, skip 1ch sp, sc in next 1ch sp, repeat **to** 32 times, ch2, skip 1ch sp, sl st in 1st ch of beg ch60.

    1. I used #1 stainless steel hook, 215 grams of cotton crochet thread and this is size small.
